Abreik has the effect of reducing oil particles to an extremely small size when it comes into contact with oil (micronization). The more this "micronization" progresses, the closer its specific gravity becomes to that of water. Furthermore, when water is added, it flows into the finely divided particles, expanding the distance between them and dispersing them (hydrolysis). The micronized oil is then broken down by microorganisms and returned to the natural environment. Due to the effects of "micronization" and "hydrolytic dispersion," the oil loses its physical properties and can no longer recombine or reattach. As a result, it prevents the formation of oil slicks caused by floating oil and also prevents solidification due to bonding.
